Rankings of the first, second and third ranked national teams by pools
The format of the volleyball competition at the 2024 Olympics has changed from four pools of three teams to three pools of four teams.
In the first quarter-final, the best first-placed team will compete against the second-best third-placed team from the pools. In the second quarter-final, the second-best first-placed team will compete against the best third-placed team from the pools. In the third quarter-final, the third-best first-placed team will compete against the third-best second-placed team from the pools. In the fourth quarter-final, the best second-placed team will compete against the second-best second-placed team from the pools.
In the first semi-final, the winners of the first and fourth quarter-finals will compete, as well as the winners of the third and second quarter-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will play in the grand final for first place, and the losers will play in the small final for third place.
